How to know the final concentration of a complex when 1mM of drug and 2mM of metal precursor(1:2) is mixed together with the same solvent ? How to find it ?
Dear Sri,
(1) D + 2M = M2D; where D and M are the drug and metal, respectively.
(2) K =[M2D] / [D] x [M]2
(3) [M2D] = K x [D] x [M]2
You can determine [D] and [M] by a spectrophotometric method, NMR , HPLC or etc
Substitution on the values of K, [D] and [M] in equation 3 gives you the concentration of the complex, [M2D].
