Hi, I am trying to perform mesh convergence and I found out there is no stable temperature value I obtained. So, I calculated the skin depth and it was around 0.00011mm. It is so small in micrometer level while my tool is of 5mm thick in 2D. How can I mesh for such a low value? I tried but the temperature is still not stable and temperature varies and not stable. Can someone help me overcome this situation. You can see the picture attached below. A coil is placed above the tool alone at a certain distance. I am unable to proceed. Any help or suggestions would be nice. thank you :)

The trick is that the geometry should be partitioned when there are very thin and thick regions in the same domains. Partitioning avoids to generate too small elements in the bulk domain and force creating very small elements in the thin gap only. With this method, you can save a lot of computation time especially working with complex geometries.
I suggest you to create an additional rectangle that precisely fits in the gap and set it as a Mesh Control Domain under the Geometry menu. It won't influence the physics (won't either see it) but the mesh generation. Then, you can define a high-resolution triangular mesh only for that small domain and you can set either a predefined or custom Size to make the model up and running. I have attached a figure. The partitioning can work for any other parts of the geometry as well.
Anyway, you can play with meshing the bulk together with the gap as you already tried, but try to increase the "Resolution in narrow region" and increase the Growing rate. Sometimes, the meshing algorithm can find an acceptable solution in this case as well.

Bence Csomos Thank you for taking your time and for the explanation. I will definitely try in the future for other models. Indeed the idea sounds great. I have resolved the issue by using a boundary layer mesh with the required thickness and got a smooth transition.
