What's the compatibility of acetonitrile and trypsin? someone said 80% acetonitrile could improve the trypsin digestion result(JPR, 2007, 6, 2529-2538), however, others said the reactivity of the trypsin would be greatly decreased when the acetonitrile content higher than 40%. Which one is right?

different enzymes by different producers give somewhat different results. I would strongly advice you to test the enzymes you're working with any change of protocol.

Thank you for your advice. Maybe it is the best way I could do so far.
I have used trypsin from Roche and in the product information sheet they have mentioned upto 10 % ACN, the activity has enhanced 3 folds.

so similarly trypsin of different producers may have more or less same effect.
