Comparison between different materials used for plates in a Hester-Dendy multi-plate sampler?

Hi.

I wonder if anyone know of any study comparing the different materials used for plates in the artificial multi plate sampler designed by Hester and Dendy 1962. Masonite, ceramic and acrylic are examples of materials that I'm aware of that's being used, but I can't find any study comparing these different materials as substrates.
