Hi I have a question; is there a theory or or some literature on how new innovations that start in small entrepreneurial SME:s get absorbed as functionalities into big established players?
Some examples are, location-based check-ins that started in foursquare, and other now forgotten and moved into Facebook. Another may be how Twitter and Facebook are developing fact-checking tools as features, in competition with independent SME-based fact checking tools.
This is of course a pattern in development of innovation.
Is there a theory or or some literature that sums up this?
