What are the differences in the electrical or electrochemical conduction among silver and gold nanoparticles? considering that the shell ligands, size, solvent, etc are all the same.
Due to valence band structure Ag should be more conductive I think. But we have observed a growth of S on Ag nanoparticles which hints to more unstable particles than Au. Au nanoparticles are inert in comparison. Ag might be more conductive at first but due to chemical instability the conductivity can reduce over time.
