Hello guys,

I infected mice with Salmonella and then I counted the colony numbers from liver and spleen after 6 days. While I was doing this, one of the postdocs mentioned that the distribution of Salmonella might be uneven in the liver. He recommended me use the whole liver instead of a small piece that I cut off.

Is this true? Should I used the whole liver or just a piece?

FYI, I weight those pieces I cut off before homogenize them.

Thank you in advance!
