How to classify distributed systems (traditional) algorithms like XFT, RAFT, Paxos, Sieve, BFT, and DAG with blockchain (modern) algorithms like PoW, PoS, PoA, etc.?

This is just what I would do, based on current knowledge. As to what goes where… I’ll let you dig into that. DAG isn’t an algorithm, but a data structure. Some of the same algorithms can be applied, but many DAG systems aren’t mining-based but transaction based because DAG is generally used for speed advantage over Blockchain or for use in IOT-systems.
