My ex-husband went bad because of diabetes and drugs. But he went terrible when doctors, because he was a bit agitated, put him on a true chemical safety jacket, that wasn't needed. I had to travel for my work. When I came back 3 weeks later, he wasn't able to say two phrases in his own language. As an "ex-wife" I couldn't do a thing. The worst was the doctor that gave him those pills was an angel-face new mother. I tried to speak to her. She coldly maintained my ex-husband needed it and added that she considered me a bit agitated. Frightening.
Personally, I am not a friend of mental police and psycho-chemical treatments.
What may be the protective exception for special acute cases has become general practice. Much more empirical research on mental health is needed to clarify the force of moods on human behavior, i.e. we have to be-come master of our moods to stay physically and mentally healthy; the depth of the human psyche works like a huge iceberg in concsious, unconscious and subconscious manner. Something like mood science will be the key to unlock this door to advancing sanity.
A tragic story, and sadly not uncommon.
People with anxiety and insomnia can be treated with magnesium and inositol.
People who are depressed because they are exhausted can be treated with magnesium, B vitamins and the ubiquinol form of coenzyme Q10. Some have high levels of kryptopyrroles in the urine, and are made ill by stress that most of us would cope with. They need zinc, magnesium, and vitamins B2 and B6.Those short of vitamins B3 and C can recover from paranoia when given these nutrients. Others have inflammation in the brain, and can be treated with magnesium, sulphate and omega three fats. Unfortunately these treatments do not suit the pharmaceutical industry, and so few doctors understand them.
Drugs cause nutritional deficiencies, and so cause more symptoms, to be treated by more drugs.
