Is there difference between CFA and ESEM in a model with only one latent variable?
Hi Matheus
My understanding is that a single factor CFA, EFA, and ESEM model are all equivalent, as long as there are no covariates in the model, just the factor indicators. Indeed, without covariates the EFA and ESEM would also be equivalent.
Cheers
Mark
Interesting question. I wonder if there is anything to "rotate" with a single factor.
I would expect the results to be the same.
How you tried running the ESEM?
...sorry, this should have been
