We have a tight field schedule and need to take photosynthesis measurements in grasslands around Ireland over the next few weeks. However, the weather is looking shaky at best. We're using an LED light source and so do not need bright weather, but obviously the machine itself cannot get wet. I'm wondering if it is possible to protect the machine under a large umbrella for example and still take measurements? There will obviously be a need to be aware of the humidity level in the chamber etc, but is it possible at all to measure in these conditions?
