According to the protocol, this kit is designed to human blood, but I wonder if I could use it with mouse blood. Could there be a difference in the amount of blood required? Has somebody used it with success? Thank you for your answers!

It should be fine. The maximum volume that you can process will be about 10 – 20% smaller than human samples since mice have a slightly higher number of leukocytes in their blood.
*I've never used this kit before, but there does not seem to be anything that would make this only work on human samples.
