Hello parasitologists, i'm making a proyect about hemoparasites in bats and rodents in peruvian amazon. I finded these protozoans and i don't know its names. Help me please to identify it, thank you.
the images provided are of poor quality and do not allow any clear identification of the parasite details. It could be an Apicomplexan emogragarine, but higher magnification images are needed. Diagnostic can be made by molecular DNA analysis with PCR and suitable primers. Literature data on emoparasites of bats also include Bartonella spp. bacteria and microfilariae.
Sorry the images are of poor quality and do not allow identification. Could you send images of higher magnification and resolution. What is the host bat or rodent?
