Due to poor water solubility of Nebivolol, I wonder if someone knows the possibility of dissolving it in Tween 20 for cell culture. Does it work or may it be toxic for PBMCs?
Nebivolol is a lipophilic substance, and you can dissolve it in 100% DMSO. You can make a stock solution (say 1mM) in DMSO and store it in -20˚C. The working concentration of Nebivolol can be made in cell growth medium. The final concentration of DMSO in cell culture that is not toxic to the cells should be 0.1% -0.5%.
We already used DMSO as a solvent for nebivolol but the results of our cell culture show that DMSO may have a direct role in T cell response by itself. So, we are looking for finding other types of solvents.
