Time of the opening and closing of the Neothetys ocean always caused different opinions? why we can solve this case?

Time of opening and closure of neothetys is very different (In turkey, Iran,Oman , ...) and it occured in many diferent time. why we can not a same oppinion in Iran or turkey , ...?These views are different and sometimes contradictory. Why we have not a comprehensive study of sedimentology, stratigraphy, lithology, and tectonics?
