For carbon dots purification well stabilise methods are reported: i.e Dialysis, precipitation, centrifugation and  filtration methods.

Understand your carbon dots synthesis matrix (reactant) and method, which you follow for synthesis. If you are get homogeneous particle size of carbon dots in your synthesis procedure, then you can used simple centrifugation method, if you got mixed size carbon dots then dialysis and filtration method ( with Millipore membrane with pore size 0.2 UM) works.
