Can we assess the role data analytics in Research?
I think big data analytics can play a role in facilitating future research - just like how we use SPSS software tool now instead of manually performing the statistical analysis. Want to share the following questions & input from others on how they perceive big data analytics in helping the generation of new research areas & performing literature review.

Data Analytics is needed as because Data analysis helps in keeping human bias away from the research conclusion with the help of proper statistical treatment.

In short data analysis is the process by which a researcher applies one or a combination of two or more statistical techniques such as ANOVA, sampling methods, correlation analysis, regression analysis, and multivariate analysis to describe, evaluate or illustrate a given data and subsequently make inductive inferences in the conclusion which is the most important part of a research.thanks.

@Han-To add to your points let me say that for researchers it is very important as Data analysis inspect, clean, transform and remodel data with a view to reach to a certain conclusion for a given situation.
