Can we apply ARDL irrespective of mediation analysis on secondary time series data?

I need an article that show ARDL methodology applied irrespective of mediating role of any quantitative variable in the senerio of one nation.

Based on the order of integration my variables are of mixed order. I am employing mediation in the context of secondary time series analysis for one nation. I need a strong liturature base that could assure to proceed with ARDL approach
