There is much debate among scholars about how to make important choices in all areas of life (personal, economic, social, ecological, etc.). A key aspect is the time of choice and the importance of "rational choice".

The arousal and its increase leads instead to make shortcuts on the wave of instinctive and irrational entusiasm often with incomplete information.

On the other hand, waiting to have more detailed information as required by a more rational choice has the following disadvantages:

a) it lets lose the intermediate time;

b) the counterparties (or competitors) may act in the meantime and take advantage of that opportunity, which by definition is scarce and not abundant.

After a general comment on the topic, you are asked to give examples of your life where the excitement brought you to choices that ultimately proved to be good, or vice versa.

Thank you for your attention!
