An EPR spectrum of an organic compound was recorded on solid state which resonated at around 83 mT but on calculating the g-factor the value came out be nearly 8.00 which is too high than expected. What could be the possible reasons?

This seems very unusual for simple organic compounds. I would attribute this signal to the resonator background. Does your EPR spectrometer operate in X band (mw-frequency of 9-10 GHz)? Do you see any signal in the regular field range (320-340 mT depending on the mw-frequency but with a g-value close to 2)?
Sergei V. Kuzin, the instrument is Jeol JES-FA200 with operating range 8.75-9.65 GHz. Yes, I can see a comparatively weak and broad band than the sharp one within 320-340 mT on further analysis. The g value for this band is about 2.05. Prima facie, according to me, could it be that the sharp peak at low field could be due to zero-field splitting? The compound also posses a biradical nature and zero-field splitting might occur due to dipolar interaction of the two unpaired electrons.
Bidyut Das, I think it is quite unlikely to explain this low-field feature by zero-field interaction. From your numbers, it would be in the order of several GHz and you would not find anything around g=2. So, what you see in 320-340 mT must be your signal of interest
