There are diferent business management approach ( LEAN, six sigma, bpm, etc). Also each management approach has some open or comercial tool. Typically Management life cicle includes model, design and improve business process. For example BPM open source (Bonita, JBoss), comercial (Adonis, Aris, BisAgi). Depends of your goals wich tool is the best for your case.
