Is not clear in the picture, but if you see two close bands is possible that you have RNA. A single band is DNA. Hope that you solve the problem!

This may be DNA although it is not clear in the picture. In the case of RNA you are expected to see two bands from the same sample for the two subunits of ribosomal RNAs: 18S and 28S RNAs and your mRNA would form a smear instead of a band.
