Can someone please explain "indemnification shall last beyond publication of the article, as well as extend to all related claims." in laymans' terms?

This quote is found in journal author guidlines. I haven't exaclty understood what it is about. Can someone please explain?

Indemnification is the part of an agreement that provides for one party to bear the monetary costs, either directly or by reimbursement, for losses incurred by a second party. It basically means that it is your responsibility for paying for the processing of your article and it is nor the Journal's responsibility.
