I want to simulate this following structure in COMSOL but I have a problem, I want to use Drude model for metal and apply electromagnetic wave as optical wave from upper port (in air) and calculate absorption power and Poynting vector, but i don't know how to calculate? and boundary conditions should be in what form? PML, Periodic Condition (Floquet periodicity), Scattering Boundary Condition? Which?
and Is Output port necessary? and for Input port what is Electric field and propagation constant?
and is Fresnel laws necessary?
It's been a while since I used Comsol for applications like this, but I think I can help you with some points. You probably want a perfectly matched layer (PML) as your boundary condition to simulate infinite space where everything is being absorbed. You won't need an output port since you're not interested in the output in a specific region. For the electric field input you might just want to have a boundary from which an electric field is incident on your structure. You can just define it as coming in x or y polarised, however you prefer it.

- and i want to use TM electromagnetic wave (because of SPP's in metal) that's means the following formula (in picture 1) but i don't know how do it must enter there?! that's very simple just i have doubt!!! (see the picture 2 please)
