Hi, you can give a try to Kinovea, it's free and works pretty well.
You'll just need an object of known dimensions to calibrate your space...
ImageJ/FIJI is a free software that allows you to easily calibrate the pixel distance to physical distance and then measure objects.

I just used Kinovea to measure the trajectory of the hand in the videos of the experiment with dancers. If you use the calibration properly, knowing well one of the real distance of the image, then you can use it to meassure inside the picture.

You can also try Aphelion (commercial software, but with a free 30 day evaluation period). With it, you can define the calibration and make the calibrated measurements interactively.
