Nuclear stain like DAPI and Hoechst stains nuclei and also reveals the presence of mycoplasma. So, my question is does PI stain along with staining the nucleus tell us the presence of mycoplasma?
I think the answer is not.
Mycoplasma is so small that it can't be easy detected under microscopy. Maybe mycoplasma isolation kits are more efficient.
Thanks Snow!
