I am working in a plant tissue culture commercial lab. We are facing the problem of fungal contamination in our lab and it is above 15%. We tried everything like checking the equipment and spraying and sterilization but nothing works. As a commercial lab, we can not use antibiotics and antifungal substances in our culture. So my question is can pausing the regular work of subculture for one week helps in eliminating the fungal contamination?

You might want to call professional fumigators. We had fungal contamination in our cold room and had to spray bleach several times to the walls to eradicate the fungi and it was not foolproof but did reduce teh severity of infection
