A nominal scale cannot be transformed into an ordinal or interval scale. There is no order in a nominal scale but there is in an ordinal or interval scale. You can go the other way around, i.e., interval or ordinal scale converted to a nominal scale, but you will be throwing information away.

If you mean the logit model as in logistic regression, the answer is "yes".

as Dr Gordon responded its not possible. as u have binary choice - yes and no u can certainly use probit or logit model.

Thank you Dr. Warren and Dr. Feroze. Actually, I was trying logit model. But, I was not sure whether logit model with binary nominal scale variables violate basic assumptions or not.
