Hi, I`ve found that ES or iPSC can be differentiated into Purkinje neurons.
However, I cannot find any publication dealing with NSC conversion to Purkinje neurons. Since I do not have much knowledge of cerebellum development, I`m curious about origin of Purkinje neurons.
So my question is, Is it possible to make Purkinje neurons from NSCs (embryo, adult from either mouse or human...) or not because of developmental issue? Thanks for all your kind replies.

We have made cerebellar progenitors of granule and Purkinje neurons from human IPSCs. We have only published an abstract so far (See Nayler et al 15 here at RG on my list). Others have already published Purkinje cells made from human ES cells (Keiko Muguruma et al 2015 CellRep).
