I need to isolate lectin from crabs, as per protocols all are using either sepharose 4B or sepharose CL 4B (adsorption chromatography). But these two types are not available with me, instead of these can I use Cm/SP/Q/DEAE sepharose (though it used for ion exchange chromatography).

I will use TBS/Cacl2 buffer with mannose for my lectin.
