Please suggest if I can use cholesterol as the sole lipid core to make solid lipid nanoparticles.
If yes should I directly melt it at 150 C and add the drug , or use a solvent?
Jagruti Sachanandani I am doubtful that cholesterol by itself can be made into a stable lipid nanoparticle in aqueous solvents. It does not have the flexibility nor the length of phospholipids.
