I see in the Qiagen handbook that it recommends you buy their proprietary centrifuge in order to get high enough rpms (3000 & 6000) necessary for optimal DNA extractions.
I have access to a plate centrifuge that goes up to 3000 or 4700 rpms. Have others used regular tabletop centrifuges with lower max rpms with success? Any tips (should I run final spin longer if my centrifuge can't go to 6000 rpms)?

All you need to be concerned about is ensuring all the liquid elutes at each step so if you are using a benchtop microfuge just wait until all the liquid has passed through the filter. The only absolutely crucial step in ensuring you remove all the EtOH prior to elution so maybe leave the sample(s) spinning for 5-10 min if you are worried that your not pulling enough G's!!!!
I concur with Marcus but to be on safer side, I'll use the actual centrifuge machine and follow the protocol meticulously :) Best Wishes anyway.
