Yeah, it may solve your purpose.
As rate of degradation of DNA is directly related to dose and time period of treatment, apoptosis induction in cancer cells for shorter (6-12 h) duration will provide you better yield than treated for extended period of time (24 -48 h).
Pradyumna Mishra Sir, I am also engaged in isolation of DNA by manual procedure to see the effect of compound on apoptosis but sadly couldn't get any apoptotic ladder. Though the compound is known to cause apoptosis. Can you please suggest.
Please introduce a high-speed centrifugation step following induction of apoptosis.
Also, check the dose of the drug and period of treatment. In case you are using any cancer cell line which is resistant to apoptosis, run a parallel control using any normal cell line. Hope this helps.
