I'm working on some signalling assays using 96 well plates. For that, I want to measure the bioluminescence which generates from the sample. But in our lab, there is no luminometer. I want to know, if can I use this ELISA plate reader to measure luminescence in relative light units. In the user manual, it says this plate reader can measure absorbance and kinetic measurements. It's very hard to carry out my research project without this. Could you please give me a solution for that? Thank you very much.
The Multiskan Sky microplate reader is an absorbance plate reader. It cannot be used for luminescence measurements. Ask around your university to see if anyone has a multimode plate reader with luminescence capability or dedicated luminescence plate reader.
