I have prepared my drug stock with filtered-sterilized DMSO outside the biosafety cabinet, can I expose them under UV for a few minutes together with my cell culture tools before further diluting them with cell growth medium?
I will be using them for cell culture work. I was informed that DMSO itself is anti-microbial but I'm still unsure about the sterility after the preparation step outside of the bsc

It is not recommended. You may prepare the drug stock in DMSO, and filter sterilize the drug stock solution using 0.22 µm membrane filter inside the biosafety cabinet. Exposing the drug solution to UV light may possibly affect the molecular structure of the drug and in a way reduce its biological activity. You may not know whether your drug is sensitive to UV light. It may cause photodegradation of your drug.
So, it is always better to use 0.22 µm filter to filter sterilize you stock drug solution, and then use this filtered stock for further dilution with cell culture medium.

Certain compounds can be destroyed/denatured by UV radiation, which is not recommended. I use a 0.22 µm pore size sterile syringe filter (HiMedia) for my sterilisation in our lab. You may do the same.
