It is rather utilisation, not uptake. well, we measured it, and in a certain time-scale, it works (sampling medium, measuring back its content of glucose by enzimatically, etc.).

Thank you Attila. it is not feasible for me to sample the medium before and after the cell has been cultured. can there be another way by which i can check how much glucose is utilised?

I meant we sampled medium during culture... 2-3 hours period i took samples, pooled at -20 deg C, than measured. I think glucose can be monitored by a small electrode-like equipment continously... but my work was a small pre-experiment, we did not work a much on this (enzymatic measurements).
