English has lately developed a host of distinguishable characteristics making of it a world's language. In non-native speaker country, in advanced classes particularly, teachers often devote less efforts to incorporate the students’ local cultural content.
Yes, they can be absorbed in both linguistic and cultural imperialism because teaching a new language without referring to the original culture will lead to the emergence of linguistic imperialism. Lately teaching English is considered as a new type of colonialism or as what we call today the Age of Globlization.

Please mind that language and culture are inseparable the fact that means the excessive use of cultural information, which is in return a source of variety and motivation. Yet this does never mean making English superior in our classes. Teachers are not required to advocate ideals and values that are purely English in the sense that English itself is no longer connected to English speaking countries.
hi.certainly most English teachers are walking there unconsciously when using methods and techniques developed by native speakers regardless of the socio-cultural context of the teaching of the above-mentioned teacher. they are walking in dark while they are using the materials developed by native speakers or market-friendly textbooks not considering EFL learners needs and wants. best
