It has been known that certain foods increase the risk of certain cancers and some other foods reduce the risk of certain cancers. But can improved diet or diet modification help in curing advanced metastatic stage IV cancer ?
Yes, The nutrition changes genes expression, directly and thought hormonal (Insulin, glucagon, cortisol, leptin) orchestrated signaling. For example, increase in Free fatty acids milk-induced (and thought exosomes-Mitochondrial RNA) and casein protein milk or aminoacids... increase mitogen insulin signaling (Akt-mTOR) and promotes rapid advance and progression of malignant tumour.
Thank you all for your inputs. But my further literature search has suggested that cheap and non-toxic dietary interventions will play an important role in future treatment strategy of advanced metastatic cancers.
I think when the cancer reach to stage IV their is no way to cure because the large area of cancer spread make it so difficult to mange with any treatment.
Dietary changes may improve anticancer immunosurveillance of chemo-, radio- and immunotherapy. Stage IV is too late and the efficiency of this intervention won't be spectacular... But generally, as Vishwas Chavan said, it should be considering as a cheap, non-toxic and efficient component of therapeutic interventions.
mTOR signaling is the most poweful hyperproliferative inflammatory and cancer-promoting metastasis (Example aminoacids in casein bovin milk): People wirh advanced cancer may get a good survival (without DEPRESSION and Gastric intolerance post-Qt) if the chronic Insulin Resistance, peripherically and tisular (Hepatic, adipose...) is stopping, with marine Omega-3, Zinc, Polyfenols (Quercetin, rutin), and ascorbic acid....and Caloric Restriction (natural Zinc, NOT IRON). http://www.imedpub.com/proceedings/iron-excess-and-insulin-resistance-in-cancer-development-and-progression-2813.html
