I'm planning to detect lipid-related signals on paraffin-embedded tissue sections and have the BODIPY 558/568 C12 lipid probe. I've found that it's commonly used for lipid droplet labeling in live cells or frozen sections, but I haven't found any specific instructions for use on paraffin sections.

Has anyone tried using this dye on deparaffinized and rehydrated tissue sections? Does it penetrate effectively and retain specific signals? Will using it on paraffin sections affect signal stability or produce high background?
