Hello every one i am working on underlining issues related to solar wind diesel hybrid power system .if anyone have data related to this .please do share it with me ?
There are many sample case studies available within the HOMER energy software or even its legacy version. You may use the topologies, and data foe your study. These data are useful in energy flow, and techno-economic studies.
I suggest you to go through a publication I developed with some colleagues: among other cases, we have reviewed many papers presenting case studies and other interesting information about hybrid systems, including solar-wind-diesel: Article Off-grid systems for rural electrification in Developing Cou...
You need to look into the following before you decide on the issues:
1. The structure of your hybrid system. Are your generations on the transmission side or at the distribution end. Is there a need for centralized generation (transmission) or decentralized generations at the distribution side. It may be centralized also at the distribution side.
2. Is there a need for battery storage in your system. Always think about contingencies.
3. Loading
4. The control strategy, by coordinating the dispatchable and non-dispatchable sources.
5. Is your system grid connected or working in standalone mode (islanded).
Yes, HOMER energy is a powerful simulation tool, but please note the simulation time depends on the system structure, control mode, search space, reliability settings, and desired operation limits. Sometimes, very long simulation / optimization times may be faced.
As an alternative approach, the energy balance based optimization method can be applied to off-grid systems supplying deferrable loads. It can be also extended to non-deferrable loads and storage.
