Can anyone suggest to me a suitable fixative before ı can dry the flower materials in critical point dryer (CPD)?

I preserved my specimen into 70% ethanol for a long time. Following dehydration, I placed them to the CPD but they were pulverised in CPD. Can anyone provide me with a cpd protocol for plant material?
