Today I done SEM analysis of powder sample by simple sprinkle it on a carbon tep followed by gold coating but the SEM images wouldn't come clear agglomeration occur.
You can use copper foil. First you must prepare dispersion of your powder in EtOH. Put one drop of this disperssion on copper foil. Next use gold coating, and you will obtain very good images.

You can blow away the extra powder from the tape by suitable air pressure.
You need to put very small quantity of the material over the carbon tape and blow away the excess quantity, before coating.

make solution of powder with acetone suspaction and drop it over SEM sample holder which first coated with carbon paint , take care to take many drops from many levels
