Can anyone suggest how to prepare a buffer to extract proteins from soybean seeds?

I'm thinking about to use the extraction buffer (50% [v/v] phenol, 0.45 M Suc, 5 mM EDTA, 0.2% [v/v] 2-mercaptoethanol, 50 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.8). Can anyone recommend it? How to get rid of abundant proteins?
