There are companies like Abcam, R&D Systems, Life Technologies, Novus Biologicals where you can purchase lyophilized VEGF protein, reconstitute and use for you experiments.
It's important to check which VEGF isoforms you want to use, though the most commonly used is VEGF165. VEGF121, 189, 164 etc are also available from R&D depending on the question you want to ask. Another thing is check the source of protein. Production from E.coli can sometimes lack post translation modification of VEGF that one might find in mammalian cells. So, given the choice, I would suggest recombinant protein produced in HEK cells.
