Can anyone suggest a methodology for investigating the vertical resistance transfer mechanisms of insects using insects grown within laboratories?

It is gene related, use homozygous mutant and wild type insects to check the resistant mechanism. Lot of mechanisms involved in resistance including RNAi. Use hypothesis to check mechanisms via inhibiting pathway enzymes.
