After finishing Questionnaire Survey, I want to analyse all data and to generate graph and table for it. Which software is really user friendly and free to use?
If all you want to do is generate charts and tables, then Excel is more than adequate. If you want to do statistical analysis, Excel's "calculator" includes some of the basics -- chi square, t-test, correlation, etc.
Prof. Dr. David L Morgan, Thanks for your advice. But, I always MS Excel to handle lot of data together. Actually for statistical data analysis, SPSS is a very common software. But it seems to be little difficult for me to ensure the efficient use of this software. By the way, Excel's "Calculator" idea is good, though.
R+may seem a bit difficult at the beginning but once You start to work with this program You can discover its many advantages. Let me mention just two:
It is constantly expanded, new statistics are added. So once You learn its language You can use it for many years and install new packages for new analysis. And for free.
It can draw fantastic histograms which You can colour etc. So it is very useful for reports.
A lot depends on the complexity of the analyses that you want to do. If your goal is to test hypotheses and do correlations and regressions, then something as complex as R+ or SPSS will definitely be the way to go.
On the other hand, if your goal is to largely to do descriptive statistics, then Excel offers you all the tools you will need.
