I would like to know whether a pairwise difference of about 15% between two insects supposed to belong to the same genus is important or not (both species are morphologically very close and where only distinguished a few years ago) and why it can be greater than the difference between two species belonging to two different genus. I know that usually a threshold of 2% is supposed to be sufficient to discriminate two specie but I don't know what the "maximum" threshold can be between two closely related species. Any paper on the subject is welcomed! Thanks a lot
