Simple light transmission (absorption and scattering) you can simulate with open-source renderers e.g. LuxRender + Blender (for model building)

If you simulation is more demanding and you are interested in specific volume scattering model (Rayleigh, Mie, Fluorescence, Henyey-Greenstein, etc.) - even commercial ODS have strong limitations. The volume scattering problem concerns also model parametrization (BTDF) and validation.

Some mathematical implementations e.g. MATLAB functions for Mie Scattering and Absorbtions (Ch.Maetzler) are im Internet.

I recommend to use the Mone-Carlo Simulation. with some modification you can make your own material.

You'll need to provide a lot more information about what you're trying to do. There's a lot of tools out there which can do what you're thinking. It really depends on the problem. If it's very simple, there might be a simple solution. If it's not, it might be solvable using a full maxwell simulation like FDTD (e.g. meep), depending on how "big" the simulation needs to be.  Otherwise, you will need a more specific solution which would depend on the symmetries of the problem and so forth. 

Anyway, if you know what sort of a code you need, this is a pretty good list of online codes which work. It's not perfectly updated but it's a good place to start.

I need this simulation for a very small part of my work. I need very simple simulation to show the transmission of light through a cuboid shape material(animal tissue model) with specific absorption and scattering coefficients from one side (plane) to another and nothing much in detail.

The problem of tissue simulation I remember from Fred (http://photonengr.com/ - not opensource) examples. They solve it with Henyey-Greenstein volume scatter phase function. In this case, the tissue is divided into different skin layers and radiated with a laser beam. For each of the layer, absorption, scatter angular distribution and concentration is specified (the coefficients are wavelength dependent).

As reference “Tissue Optics by Valery Tuchin, ISBN 0-8194-3459-0, published by SPIE” is given.

As you are interested in the transmission, the Monte Carlo simulation is the best choice. Beckman Laser Institute (BLI) has been developing open-source computational (virtual) technologies for the Biomedical Optics community. Here is the link for BLI's Virtual Tissue Simulator.
