In interviews I want to explore the attachment of adults to their parents, or better how their parents behaved when they we children. This is to understand the early education they received as babies and small children by their parents and how they are still affected by it now.
I recommend the scale constructed by Andrade and Betancourt (2008) PP-A (practical parenting adolescents), made in Mexico and that I've already used in Colombia. Difference between psychological and behavioural Control.

To my knowledge there isn't a unique instrument able to assess both aspects. Up to your attachment expertise you can use the gold standard AAI for measuring attachment representation with a direct implication for caring behaviors currently present in your adult subjects and then looking for another measure able to measure control.
I d'n't know the measure suggested by the colleague in Colombia but I guess using reliable and well validated instrument is always a good choice.

I agree with Lavinia in that it is hard to find a measures that encapture both attachment and control - as Lavinia suggested, I think it may be helpful to look into the Adult Attachment Interview, perhaps in combination with a validated questionnaire measure.
If you are also after a questionnaire measure, you could use the Parental Bonding Instrument (PBI) or the EMBU (Egna Minnen av Barndoms Uppfostran; My Memories of Upbringing) scales - both well validated and the EMBU has short and long versions.
The PBI measures Care and Overprotection/Control.
The EMBU measures Rejection, Emotional Warmth, Overprotection, and Favouring Subjects. The short form drops 'Favouring Subjects'.

The AAI is always a great option, and I've used PBI with good results as well but, as Rebecca mentioned, it measures slightly different things. Projective instruments are always great, and you can look into the Object Relations Inventory or the Differentiation-Relatedness Scale and see if they can be helpful.
