Mia Avril I agree with you on issue of viability. In addition to inputs being available locally, the cost of production should be lower that the revenue from the outputs. Secondly, there should be a ready market for the outputs.
For sustainable Aquaculture to be really sustainable.it shouldeet the following criteria.
1.water quality
2. Feed management
3. Habitat protection
4. Disease management
5. Social responsibility

Fredrick Juma Syanya thanks for the response. The five criteria may be easy to monitor if you are dealing with a few big farmers. But in a situation where you have thousands of scattered small-scale farmers, the task becomes daunting.
